13.07.2026

Recruitment for the phase II ABCSG 63 / ERIKA trial has been successfully completed. With the randomization of the 120th patient, the study reached its enrollment target two months ahead of schedule.

Conducted in cooperation with the West German Study Group (WSG), ABCSG 63 / ERIKA is an open-label, two-arm, randomized phase II trial evaluating elacestrant plus ribociclib versus aromatase inhibitor (plus a GnRH agonist in pre-/perimenopausal women and men) plus ribociclib as neoadjuvant therapy for endocrine-responsive HER2-negative early breast cancer.

All participating Austrian study sites enrolled patients, making an important contribution to the successful completion of recruitment.

The ABCSG sincerely thanks all participating centers, investigators, study coordinators and study nurses for their outstanding commitment, which made this excellent achievement possible. Above all, we thank the patients whose participation is essential to reaching this important milestone.
