{"id":39865,"date":"2025-10-09T11:41:58","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T09:41:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abcsg.org\/?p=39865"},"modified":"2025-10-09T11:43:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T09:43:29","slug":"abcsg-65-definitive-first-patient-randomized","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abcsg.org\/en\/abcsg-65-definitive-first-patient-randomized\/","title":{"rendered":"ABCSG 65 \/ DEFINITIVE: First patient randomized"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The ABCSG is proud to report that the first Austrian patient has been randomized in the ABCSG 65 \/ DEFINITIVE trial at LKH Hochsteiermark, site Leoben, under the lead of PI Dr. Thamer Sliwa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Congratulations to Dr. Sliwa and his dedicated team in Leoben on achieving this important milestone.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">ABCSG 65 \/ DEFINITIVE (Diagnostic HER2DX-guided treatment For patIeNts wIth early-stage HER2-posiTIVE breast cancer) is an international, multicenter, prospective, randomized Phase III trial. The aim is to validate the HER2DX\u00ae diagnostic test as a basis for personalized treatment decisions in patients with early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The study investigates whether HER2DX-guided treatment planning can improve health-related quality of life (HRQoL) without compromising treatment efficacy compared with conventional standard approaches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">It is globally coordinated by the Spanish study group SOLTI, while the ABCSG is responsible for the Austrian part.<br \/>\nA total of 315 patients, including 70 in Austria, are planned to be enrolled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2192 <span style=\"color: #467886;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.abcsg.org\/en\/abcsg-studien\/studies-open-for-enrollment\/abcsg-65-defintive\/abcsg-65-defintive-overview-2\/\">Further information<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ABCSG is proud to report that the first Austrian patient has been randomized in the ABCSG 65 \/ DEFINITIVE trial at LKH Hochsteiermark, site Leoben, under the lead of PI Dr. Thamer Sliwa.
